To get to the bottom of a person’s problems, you need to be attentive and look for signs of something welling up inside them that’s bursting to come out. But in my own case, I didn’t notice the signs inside me until it was too late. My ‘trickle’ was a literal one – and the flood that followed was as terrifying as it was exhilarating.’
